Vic Brooks is senior curator of time-based visual art at EMPAC / Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and co-chair of the Contemporary Curatorial Workshop at the Williams Graduate Program in the History of Art. She serves on the board of Atelier Calder and the steering committee for the Feminist Art Coalition and writes on the infrastructures and production of time-based art. With Nida Ghouse, she is a grantee of the Andy Warhol Foundation’s Curatorial Research Fellowship for their exhibition Shifting Center (2023), which considers acoustic practices in contemporary art and exhibition-making as they relate to cultural memory, colonial history, and decolonial processes. At EMPAC, she is working with Clarissa Tossin, Beatriz Santiago Muñoz, Martine Syms, Ana Navas, Anna Craycroft, and Anaïs Duplan on new works. s.
