Kasper konig
Kasper König has been Director of the Museum Ludwig in Cologne since 2000, and was founder and Director of the alternative exhibition space Portikus. He initiated and organized the international exhibition of public art Skulptur Ausstellung in Münster (1977) and its sequels in 1987 and 1997, and was curator of the contemporary art exhibitions Westkunst (Cologne, 1979), von hier aus (Düsseldorf, 1984), and Der zerbrochene Spiegel [The Broken Mirror] (Vienna and Hamburg, 1993). He has also curated exhibitions of work by Claes Oldenburg (1966), Andy Warhol (1968), A.R. Penck (1973), On Kawara (1974), Donald Judd (1976), and Gerhard Richter (1993). He has lectured in the United States, Canada, and Europe and taught at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and the Staatliche Kunstakademid Düsseldorf. In 1973 he founded the Press of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.
