Instruction & Workshops

In addition to providing reference services, the CCS Bard Library holds workshops on research skills and citation management tools in both the fall and spring semesters.

Interlibrary Loan

Books, articles or media not owned or available at the CCS Bard Library or at Stevenson Library, can be requested via one of two consortial borrowing systems:

  1. ConnectNY: A consortia of academic libraries in New York State who have agreed to lend materials to other member libraries when they do not own an item or cannot access it because it is checked out. You may request these materials using your Bard ID and the item will be available for pick-up from the Stevenson Library within 2-4 business days. The typical lending period for these items is 21 days, with the possibility of renewal.

  2. ILLiad: An electronic system for submitting interlibrary loan requests for items that are not available at CCS Library, Stevenson Library or via ConnectNY. You must set up an account before requesting materials using your Bard email username and password. The lending period for each item is determined by each lending institution, with the possibility of renewal. Whenever possible, articles will be delivered electronically in PDF format to your email account.
