CCS BARD AWARDS
CCS Bard is pleased to announce Gridthiya Gaweewong as the 2025 recipient of the Audrey Irmas Award for Curatorial Excellence. The award, which first launched in 1998, celebrates the achievements of a leading curator whose lasting contributions have shaped the way we conceive of exhibition-making today. The awardee is selected by an independent panel of leading contemporary art curators, museum directors, and artists. The award reflects CCS Bard’s commitment to recognizing individuals who have defined new thinking, bold vision, and dedicated practice to the field of exhibition practice.
In addition, in 2024 CCS Bard announced the inaugural CCS Bard Alumni Award recognizing an outstanding graduate for sustained innovation and engagement in exhibition making, public education, research, and a commitment to the field. The 2025 CCS Bard Alumni award recipient is Amber Esseiva ‘15.
Gaweewong and Esseiva will both be honored at CCS Bard’s spring 2025 gala celebration and dinner on April 7, 2025. The event will be held in New York City at The Lighthouse at Pier 6, Chelsea Piers.
